STYLE OBSESSION: Shopper bags

I've always been a fan of BIG bags. And not so much because of style, but because of the freedom it grants me to carry all things I may need and still leaves extra space to squeeze in a water bottle, a cardigan if I get too hot or a magazine. Now lately I've been running around with a rather modestly-sized (by my standards) cross-body bag and it surely has it benefits, but recently I found myself falling deeply in love with the SHOPPER bags. Fact is I've never had a bag exactly like a shopper, also most of them are also supplied with an extra strap for cross-body wearing and of course, the allure of space inside is so hard to resist. The color-blocking shoppers by the Greek brand Fullah Sugah and the classy brown one from ASOS are among my top choices.

Let the sunshine in

I decided to celebrate the departure of a very nasty cold (I suffered for over a week!) with a very relaxed and unpretentious outfit post. Another cause for "celebration" is my new hair - today I've finally cut it, and more importantly, dyed it a bright red which was once my signature hair color, but which I haven't worn for almost two years. I just felt a strong need to make some noticeable change to my appearance - so here it is...

As for the outfit, that's how I love to dress lately in this springy yet not too hot weather when going shopping in the neighbourhood or just taking a walk. The denim shirt is one of the more recent purchases of mine and is clearly going to be viral in my wardrobe all summer (I'm loving it!). This VOLCOM t-shirt, on the other hand, is already a few years old and it still remains among my favorites for its original cut and cool print.

This ALDO is about the same age as the tee, and it does look worn on the back side, but I still love its unique design and ginger brown leather.

These two bracelets are my most recent purchase. Since I have fallen for the multiple handmade bracelets trend, I decided to start my collection in SAMOS where I spent my vacation only two weeks ago. There, in a small shop I browsed among dozens of handmade bracelets until I picked out those two beauties made from leather, string, wood and metal.

STYLE OBSESSION: Head scarves

I have never felt comfortable wearing things on my head - at least not since I became seriously self-conscious about my look. I felt that no hats looked good on me, plus they always messed up my hair. Same went for all sorts of scarves and since I have been wearing a fringe since 14, hair bands seemed to not sit right either. But I'm stubborn, ready to experiment and since I kind of adore this latest head scarf trend I'm willing to give it a chance. I'm not exactly a vintage fan, but I love the retro appeal of the scarf worn as a band - I'd combine it with a cropped tee, a lingerie-style top or my denim shirt.

LATEST CRAVINGS: Jewellery by Rachel Roy and Uno de 50

Just recently I discovered the gorgeous jewellery lines of these two brands: one, American - RACHEL ROY and another, Spanish - UNO DE 50. When it comes to jewellery I prefer bold, bulky, original, statement pieces, and all the items pictured below fully satisfy those demands, moreover - they're all quite affordable. Rachel Roy's rings and earrings are wild and animalistic, while Uno de 50 offers ultra-modern, cool, almost rock'n'roll aesthetic.

STYLE OBSESSION: Leather cuff bracelets

I haven't worn leather cuffs since my punk-rock-chick phase some years ago, rejecting them as something I've "overgrown." Yet, the leather cuff bracelets from the recent "Pirates of the Caribbean" line by Hayden-Harnett for Disney (see below) made me realize how I still love this kind of accessories and it's about time to bring them back into my wardrobe - after all I still love to wear an edgy rock-style outfit every now and then... And while Hayden-Harnett is a bit out of my price range, the Topshop cuffs will suit me just fine!

LATEST CRAVINGS: Wallets

Even though I decided to start my new "Latest Cravings" post series with wallets, they don't quite suit the main idea, since I don't CRAVE a wallet - I actually NEED one. The reason for it being that my last wallet was unfortunately stolen just last week... Luckily it had very little cash in it, and I quickly blocked my visa card. So while I wait now for my card to be reissued and sent to me, I'm picking my next wallet - cause' you've gotta have one! My previous wallet was from Accessorize, looking a bit like the red one from Aldo below, and it seems like I might go with Accessorize once again - their wallet designs appeal to me most. My top choice so far is mustard-colored wallet. I never liked that color much before, but, I guess, there is a first time for everything.

New casual vintage bag

This is my latest find from YESTERDAY'S BREAD second hand store in Athens. It has a great many cool vintage items, among them - a whole pile of bags. I went through the latter a couple of times before I narrowed it down to four bags and, finally, to just one. It's in mint condition, genuine leather, the strap is adjustable, it's small - but no too small - in short, a perfect casual bag to carry all my basic necessities when doing shopping or taking walks around town. It also has no label on it anywhere, which is kind of cool - a bag of mysterious origins...

Accessorize spring/summer 2011: favourite looks

In ACCESSORIZE spring/summer 2011 collection I first of all adore 50s-style swimsuits as well as the combination of a red bikini top and navy-stripes bottom - that's my choice for the beach this summer! Also I could use a new pair of sunglasses, a bunch of colourful hippy bracelets and

those "leaf" earrings (2nd picture) just have to be mine!
