Random babble

I've been trying to be more consistent w/ blog posts lately and starting this week I'm getting to work on the solo show in March so I should be posting a lot of sketches and works in progress or just pictures of me dry heaving in a corner, depending on how everything's going.

This first thing is a flier I did for a friend really quick. It was a sketch I had laying around that I liked but didn't have a use for. As I was finishing it up, I accidentally dragged the top line work layer down and it gave the design an off-registration look so I guess it's good that I sometimes forget to do things the right way, like locking my layers.

The last couple weeks have been crazy w/ school, finding a new job, gearing up for the solo show and finishing commissions so we decided to take this guy to the mountains so he could run around and I could hopefully clear my head. We got super lost, never saw mountains and bought boiled peanuts so the guy would give us directions. Artie had a good time playing in the woods and it was nice not to be surrounded by buildings for a while.
Not many people know this, but this past week while I was out of work, I wrote my autobiography and posed for the cover. Needless to say, it's selling like hot cakes.

Sketches and a finished piece sometime this weekend..promise.
