Ink Sketches, etc

I've been trying to knock out as many commissions as I can while I'm off from painting Mardi Gras floats but it seems as if the harder I work, the less that gets done..not sure what's going on but here's a few things..

I re-worked the 5 poster for the show at the Mobile Arts Council and they ended up liking this one better, which was my original idea but I was too hard headed to do it. So after taking the long way around, I finally came back to it and I'm glad they had me go back and change it up, I think it came out way better.

I've been getting a lot of request for commissions of characters like this..I used to call them Siamese twins without thinking about it but I was informed by Carmen that the proper term is conjoined twins so I apologize to any conjoined twins that might read this blog, I hope I haven't offended you..not kidding..

This commission was taking forever to get the faces right but while taking notes in Art History, I started doodling on the back of a page and the faces worked themselves out so even though I missed half the day's notes, I knocked the look of the guy's out so I guess that's a success?

I got to my internship way too early today so I practiced buildings for a little bit. It was nice to sketch w/ pen knowing that I couldn't get caught up w/ correcting mistakes and I had to keep going, otherwise, I would've sat there and tried to make it perfect..also the steering wheel doesn't make for the best drawing board..

Other conjoined twin commission should be done and posted by the end of the week..
over and out
